Innovative documentation with voize in the social care unit

In their search for relief for their employees, the Wilhelmshilfe social center came across voize. How did the nursing staff get started with voize and what are their conclusions? A report by Michaela Holke.

The workload in nursing is constantly increasing. Since the pandemic, we have also observed that the number of people in need of care and the services to be provided are changing ever more rapidly. This means that the planning and, above all, the documentation workload are constantly increasing. In order to reduce the workload of our employees, we have tried out voize at the social care center.

With voize, caregivers can freely record documentation on their smartphones. Vital signs and nursing reports are created automatically. Employees do not have to select a category, which saves time. In addition, speaking in is significantly faster than typing on the smartphone. Thanks to artificial intelligence, the system learns to understand each individual employee better and better, so that errors in recording become fewer and fewer.

On 11.07.2022 we were trained by Marcel Schmidtberger in the social station. The training was very interesting and entertaining, many thanks again from the whole team. We also learned how it all began:

When our grandfather came to a nursing home, we saw with our own eyes how time-consuming nursing documentation is. It eats up time that could be put to much better use in care. We set ourselves the goal of changing this and creating valuable time for interpersonal relationships. In close cooperation with our users, we have designed and developed the speech input for the nursing documentation. In the meantime, voize is being used throughout Germany across all sectors.

That made a big impression on all of us.

Together with the board of Wilhelmshilfe, we decided that we wanted to keep voize and are now, with the support of Regina Weiß (Department for Personnel Development), gradually restructuring our documentation system to be able to cover more and more areas with voize.

Now our documentation in the patient file takes place during on-site care by speaking into voize. The SIS can now also be created immediately during the joint conversation. Since all care data can be accessed directly with the app, we now have all the important information at a glance when relatives have queries and can answer their questions right away.

By recording the information immediately, we can avoid documentation errors. This increases the quality of our nursing documentation. By using voize, we no longer have to document twice and reduce the documentation pressure. This leaves us more time for the care itself. By improving work processes, we offer an attractive and modern workplace for nursing professionals.
